Senior Fox who didn’t get on with Maresca may want to stay amid defender’s confession

Leicester City defender Wout Faes has made an unsettling revelation that is discussed by Foxes of Leicester. What does the statement signify, was it necessary, and what will happen to the Belgium international next?

According to rumors, senior striker Kelechi Iheanacho of Leicester City and manager Enzo Maresca didn’t get along. Will the Nigerian decide to stay after all, changing his mind? FoL views on the complicated issue.

Wout Faes basically confirms he’s open to Leicester City exit

Even though Faes is happy with his tremendous season-long performance, he hasn’t ruled out leaving the Foxes once more. When the entire club was in horrible limbo last summer, he made remarks along similar lines. However, the center half stayed at LCFC in the end and contributed significantly to the triumphant promotion drive.

I assumed that after sticking around to compete for the title, Faes was appreciative, devoted, and happy at LCFC. When the East Midlands team needed him most, the center half stayed a Fox despite players like James Maddison and Youri Tielemans leaving quickly.

I don’t believe that Faes leaving the company will be disastrous for City in the long run. More significant and qualified stars would be lost, and the damage would be much greater. Not all of them play in the same position, and I won’t mention names.

Nonetheless, I think the 26-year-old is a good player and would be better with the team than without it. But at times in 2022–2023 Faes did struggle in the Premier League. After a candid interview, is the Belgian now looking to depart or pursue a bigger club? Let’s examine his quotation:

“You never know how it can happen in football. If I play a good Euros, things can happen very quickly.

Foxes of Leicester offer insight into an unnerving recent confession from Leicester City defender Wout Faes. Was the statement necessary, what does it mean and what’s next for the Belgium international?

Senior Leicester City striker Kelechi Iheanacho supposedly didn’t have a good relationship with now departed manager Enzo Maresca. Will the Nigerian change his mind and want to stay after all? FoL opine on the complex matter.

Wout Faes basically confirms he’s open to Leicester City exit

While Faes is satisfied with an impressive previous season’s achievements, he hasn’t ruled out leaving the Foxes, again. He made similar comments last summer when the whole club was in unfortunate limbo. But ultimately the centrehalf carried on at LCFC and played a big part in the successful promotion campaign.

I presumed Faes was grateful, loyal and content at LCFC after staying to fight in the Championship. Players like James Maddison and Youri Tielemans jumped ship fast, yet the centrehalf remained a Fox when the east Midlands team needed him the most.

If Faes does eventually go out of the door, I don’t think it is a disaster for City. The loss of more important and qualified stars would be far more detrimental. I won’t list names, and not all of them play in the same position.

I do, however, rate the 26-year-old and believe he’d be better in the squad than out if it. Although, Faes did struggle in the Premier League at points in 2022/23. Is the Belgian now angling to leave or court a bigger club following a revealing interview? Let’s take a look at his quote:

“You never know how it can happen in football. If I play a good Euros, things can happen very quickly.”

Foxes forward Kelechi Iheanacho didn’t get on with Enzo Maresca – report

Iheanacho’s contract with Leicester expires this summer, and there have been many rumors that he may leave the King Power club for nothing. If he were to leave Leicestershire, he would be a free agent and a great asset to teams like the Foxes.

Under former City manager Enzo Maresca, the representative of the Nigeria National Team was not given preference. Iheanacho’s playing time nearly completely decreased as the season went on. Therefore, rumors that he might eventually join a new club were quite predictable.

Suggestions of a possible rift between Iheanacho and Maresca have also arisen of late. Sources in his home country state the ex-Manchester City man didn’t get along with the Italian, who is incidentally formerly of the Citizens too.

The latter was said to be overbearing and demanded worship from the striker. Now that Maresca has gone, will Iheanacho wish to stay at LCFC? In my opinion, something new for all involved is probably best.
