This summer, West Ham needs to bolster their midfield and right-back positions.

It appears that they now wish to sign a talented Leeds United player who can play both positions.

This summer, West Ham will need to make at least eight additions as they embark on a significant rebuild.

Leeds, who lost to Southampton in the Championship play-off final and were denied promotion back to the

Premier League, will also need to make changes to their team.

Recently, West Ham has been connected to several Leeds players.

Leeds talent is targeted by Hammers

After losing to Palace in the 2004 play-off final, the Hammers are familiar with the heartache of missing out.

Wilfried Gnonto and Crysencio Summerville, the Championship player of the year for Leeds, have been strongly linked to West Ham.

The Elland Road club’s chances of keeping both of those talents seem little to none.

Furthermore, with Leeds failing to advance, West Ham is aggressively looking for a new forward to play off the

left, so new connections are unavoidable.

West Ham now needs the money and wants a Leeds talent that will last a lifetime.

West Ham wants Gray, a generational talent.

Journalist Ben Jacobs claims that the Hammers have been following Archie Gray, a gifted 18-year-old,

for a while.

According to Jacobs, West Ham is actually interested in the center midfielder, who is also a right-back.

Even if Gray is content at childhood club Leeds, PSR might force them to trade him.

This could work to West Ham’s advantage as Tim Steidten and Julen Lopetegui work to assemble a young, eager roster for their new look.

However, the Hammers’ curiosity is not unique.

Give Me Sport was informed by Jacobs that “Archie Gray, although happy at Leeds, is in demand as well.”

West Ham, Brighton, Liverpool, and Arsenal have all been following him for a while now.

“The need to raise money is urgent.”

Although the 18-year-old would love to remain at Leeds, Leeds needs money badly,

therefore a sale can’t be completely ruled out.
