West Ham have ‘reached an agreement’ to sign Atlético Madrid player – €30m deal claimed

A Spanish source suggests that Samu Omorodion of Atletico Madrid may be headed to West Ham United.

El Partidazo de COPE was informed by journalist Antonio Ruiz that Atlético and a Premier League team have “reached an agreement” for the forward. The estimated value of the agreement is €30 million, although Ruiz withheld the English club’s specifics.

West Ham is mentioned by El Desmarque when they repeat this and offer their own update on the case.

The 20-year-old moved from Granada to the La Liga team in the summer, and the same window saw Los Rojiblancos send him on loan to Deportivo Alavés. During the just finished season, he played 35 games for Alavés and recorded eight goals and one assist.

After bidding farewell to Alavés, Omorodion has returned to Atlético and is expected to play in the Premier League.

According to El Desmarque, Atletico ‘can sell’ Julen Lopetegui’s team the Spain U21 international during the summer transfer season. West Ham is described as “the possible destination” for the attacker in their title, which comes after they have repeated Cope’s assertion.
