but the Portsmouth News is aware that the team is afraid of being priced out of the competition.
Ever since Portsmouth’s fall from prominence in the Premier League and their following financial difficulties,
they have not spent more than the £1.7 million they paid for striker John Marquis in the summer of 2019.
To get Burrows, an offer more than three times that amount would probably be required.
Burrows was a standout player for the Posh during the season,
winning the League One Player of the Season award following a performance in which he made seven goals and sixteen assists.

In addition, he increased his value with a brilliant performance at Wembley,
when he scored twice to help Posh win the Bristol Street Motors Trophy.
The 22-year-old is currently in the last year of his deal.
The teams involved were not disclosed either time the club rejected a proposal for their captain in January.
Burrows joined the Posh academy at the age of nine, and he has since made 185 appearances for the team.
