on current players in the team, including those who are returning from loan.

Bosun Lawal officially called into Republic of Ireland squad

Due to an injury to Nottingham Forest defender Andrew Omobamidele, Lawal has been officially elevated into the

Republic of Ireland senior team for their match against Hungary, despite having initially been called up to practice with the Boys in Green.

On social media platform X, the official Ireland Football account posted the following: “Squad Update | Lawal promoted to MNT squad.” Bosun Lawal,

who has been training with the MNT this week, will play for the MNT against Hungary after being elevated to the squad and then going back to the U21 team.

Due to an injury, Andrew Omobamidele is out and will go back home.

After the match in Dublin on Tuesday night, Lawal will resume his Under-21 duties. Additionally present in the camp are Liam Scales, Mikey Johnston, and Adam Idah.

Celtic supporters can watch all the action on Premier Sports 1 tomorrow to see some of the Bhoys in action on the international front. He now has a chance to make his debut for the Emerald Isle.

Over the past year, Lawal has experienced an encouraging climb to prominence; ideally, he will continue to do so as he works to establish himself under Rodgers.
