In advance of the upcoming campaign, Portsmouth has extended contracts to both the midfield player and defender Connor Ogilvie.

Pack, 33, is scheduled to become a free agent when his current contract expires at the end of June.

Portsmouth offer deal to midfielder

Pack provides Portsmouth with more competition and depth in the middle of the park.

He also injects experience into their ranks which would be useful as they prepare for life in the Championship.

However, his game time may dry up next term if they bring in other players in his position so he has a big decision to make regarding his future.

Pack started his career at local side Portsmouth and rose up through their academy ranks before going on to make two appearances for them as a youngster, as well as having loan spells away at Dagenham and Redbridge, Wycombe Wanderers and Cheltenham Town to get some experience under his belt.

He later joined the latter on a permanent basis in 2011 and played for Bristol City and Cardiff City before being re-signed by Pompey in 2022.

Since returning to Fratton Park, Pack has participated in 76 games and scored eight goals.

But whether he sticks around as they prepare for life in the league above is still to be seen.

Portsmouth has extended their offer to him because they want to keep him, but he needs to consider his choices.

With his retained list, John Mousinho has had to be quite strict, so it comes as a shock to see Raggett and Rafferty go.
