Luka Modric Lands new one-year Atletico Madrid job contract after yesterdays match

Real Madrid has signed Luka Modric to a one-year contract extension.

The 37-year-old Croatian playmaker Modric will stay with the Spanish powerhouses until at least the end of June 2024,

the LaLiga team confirmed on Monday.

Modric, who moved from Tottenham to Real Madrid in 2012 and has since won three

La Liga crowns and five Champions Leagues,

would have been able to go on a free transfer this summer since his contract would have expired.

“Real Madrid and Luka Modric have agreed to extend the player’s contract,

which remains linked to the club until June 30 2024,” stated a statement from the Real Madrid team.

Modric, who earned the Ballon d’Or and advanced Croatia to the 2018 World Cup final.
