Celtic in a double swoop deal as they sign free agents Ochoa and Jerome Boateng after leaving Salernitana for free

Memo Ochoa, a Mexico international custodian,

will be allowed to leave Salernitana at the end of the season but may remain in Serie A.

The great will turn 39 in July, and while his contract goes until June 2025,

there is a clause that allows him to leave for free at the end of the season in the event of relegation.

That is nearly guaranteed given that they are now 11 points out of the safety zone.

Transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano claims that Salernitana has already given the go-ahead to allow Ochoa leave for free in the summer.

It was unexpected when the man who had appeared in five World Cup tournaments joined Salernitana for free from Club America in January 2023.

He made 40 appearances for the club, keeping five clean sheets and allowing a staggering 75 goals.

Ochoa has earned 148 senior caps for Mexico.
