Red Bull’s F1 X / Twitter administrator, Max Verstappen, addressed rumors that he was being connected to a move to the Championship team and put an end to thoughts of him switching sports in a lighthearted post.
The message read: “Just to put an end to the rumours… @Max33Verstappen will NOT be joining @LUFC for their 2024/25 season ❌”
It’s well known that Verstappen is fast through the middle, unplayable on the half-turn, and superb in the corner.
It comes after Red Bull and Leeds United announced a new sponsorship agreement that will see the energy drink giant sponsor the team’s front of shirts for the upcoming season and beyond in addition to becoming a minority shareholder.
It also owns a number of football teams, including Red Bull Bragantino of Brazil, MLS franchise New York Red Bulls, German team RB Leipzig, and Austrian team Red Bull Salzburg.
However, supporters of the Yorkshire football club have lost it on social media over the new pact, with some wondering what lies ahead for the team going forward.
