Report: £120,000-a-week Newcastle player now overwhelmingly unlikely to leave St. James’ Park this summer

One Newcastle player has been described as highly unlikely to leave St James’ Park this summer.

Eddie Howe must keep all hands on deck this summer as the Magpies strive to return to the UEFA Champions League next season,

especially after Manchester United’s FA Cup victory cost Newcastle their UEFA Conference League position.0

Newcastle fans may now rejoice with positive news on Alexander Isak.

Alexander Isak is now highly unlikely to leave Newcastle.

According to iNews, the Swedish international is “overwhelmingly likely” to stay at Newcastle and lead the line at St James’ Park next season.

It comes amid intense interest from Arsenal, with insiders suggesting that Mikel Arteta wants to sign Isak more than any other player right now.

However, the Magpies have no intention of selling the £120,000-per-week Swede,

who is estimated to be worth £171 million, and iNews now state that the Newcastle No.14’s departure would be a significant shock.

Last season, Isak had one of the best Premier League seasons of any Newcastle striker in history,

scoring 21 goals in only 30 Premier League appearances and giving two assists.

The Swedish international could have a new attacking partner.

Not only do Newcastle appear quite certain to retain Isak this summer,

but Howe is now aiming to reinforce his talisman by adding one of the Premier League’s best forwards alongside him.

According to the Telegraph, the Magpies are interested in signing West Ham No.20 Jarrod Bowen this summer,

and the England international already committed to join Newcastle in 2020.

However, Mike Ashley refused to pay the £22 million sum, so West Ham stepped in to meet Hull’s asking price.

Bowen only scored 20 goals and supplied 10 assists in 44 appearances last season,

so if Howe can add the West Ham star to Isak, Anthony Gordon and Harvey Barnes, Newcastle might have one of the finest attackers in England.
