DONE DEAL: Cup Final Hero Adam Idah finally signs a permanent deal with Celtic

Celtic chiefs are reportedly ready to pull the trigger on a transfer deal to sign Adam Idah.

The Celtic board is reportedly getting ready to press for a long-term contract for the Norwich striker.

According to The Daily Record, Brendan Rodgers made it clear to club executives that he desired a full-time contract for the Ireland forward.

Idah gave Celtic the crucial victory over Rangers in the Scottish Cup Final 2024 at Hampden on Saturday.

According to reports, Celtic executives are fully committed to supporting Rodgers and getting Idah for

the manager following his productive loan period following his January arrival.

Previous rumors stated that in order to sign Idah permanently from the English Championship club,

a £6 million payment would be needed.

But given that Norwich is still without a manager following David Wagner’s dismissal, things might become complicated.

The circumstances might indicate that a new boss needs more time to evaluate Idah before authorizing a long-term return to Scotland.

But according to the source, Celtic are planning “on the assumption” that Idah will return for the following campaign.

Rodgers stated on Saturday that he would like to pursue Idah permanently.

The manager of Celtic said, “Hopefully very realistic.” He was, in my opinion, the driving force behind our season since,

up front, we needed a different dynamic, and the big guy steps in with a ton of potential.

I adore Adam since he’s a huge gamer who enjoys large games and big occasions, so maybe we can work something out.

Although he still has a long-term contract with Norwich, I would really like to have him back here.

“At 23, with the potential he has and the qualities he has, I think he can really push on in his career.”

The striker said of a move to Celtic: “But what happens next is not up to me. Football works in strange ways.

I’m still contracted at Norwich. I’ll have my time off and enjoy it as much as I can, and I’ll see what happens.

“I’ve certainly got a few messages asking me to stay. We set targets and that was getting to two trophies and we’ve done that. We got the job done so let’s see what happens now.”
