DONE DEAL: Chelsea have Agreed TERMS with Enzo Maresca as New Manger

Now that the agreement has been completed and sealed, it is a five-year term that is good until June 2029 for Maresca.

Additionally, an option to extend until June 2030 will be included.

The 44-year-old takes over for Mauricio Pochettino, who departed last week with mutual consent.

Kieran McKenna, Roberto De Zerbi, and Thomas Frank were among the candidates Chelsea had entertained for the position.

But throughout the course of the weekend, Maresca became the clear favorite.

To officially seal the transaction, Leicester will receive £10 million in compensation from the Blues.

Leicester was able to return to the Premier League on his first attempt.

He played in just one season with the team, winning 31 of 46 Championship games.
