Oscar García appears to be the future Leicester manager. He joined OH Leuven in November and is currently in discussions with the club’s hierarchy,

as we see a potential pattern of rotation within the system. Garcia (51) is a perfect fit for this approach, and agreeing on the move will be simple.

As we reported a few days ago, Enzo Maresca had no return ticket for a move to Chelsea; travelling there to speak with them will,

of course, not happen if Leicester does not allow him to. Maresca will almost definitely be the future Chelsea manager,

while Garcia is expected to be the next manager at Leicester.

The next hurdle will be to find the next manager for OH Leuven, which we feel will happen given the current state of uncertainty at the club.

Oscar Garcia is aware of the current position and is an insider with previous experience in elite teams, including stints at Watford and Brighton.

He is a product of Barcelona’s development system, having played in their academy from 1984 to 1991 and then in the main squad from 1991 to 1999,

totaling 69 league appearances and 21 goals.

He later played for Valencia, Espanyol, and Lieida before retiring at the age of 33.

At 51 years old, he has extensive managerial experience, having previously led St. Etienne, Olympiacos, RB Salzburg, Maccabi Tel Aviv (twice),

Reims, and Celta Vigo before and after his two stints in English football. He has also won big trophies,

including league titles in Austria and Israel, as well as a cup in Spain.

The manner he built the end of this season at OH Leuven must have satisfied everyone in the KP leadership,

because he managed to bring the team to safety in his

So goodbye to Enzoball and his long-term project at Leicester; he is a high-achieving individual who,

like many others in this trade, has little interest in a long-term engagement when offered something more greater and more challenging.

As previously stated, Enzo is no different from other managers in that they have little or no loyalty as long as they can progress within the game.

You, of course, see the potential as high as the sky and don’t really look at the downsides;

you also don’t consider the fact that so many people have failed in the same job over the last two decades.

But turning it down might have been the wrong thing  to do when you know what type of trouble Leicester can be in when the season starts.

We’ve seen various polls, but with all of the uncertainty surrounding FFP and RSP,

Leicester can’t really guarantee much to any new manager, so with that pattern in mind,

we’re unsure about the approach to a new man, and in that situation,

Oscar Garcia would be the obvious choice because he’s well-known in the system and club structure.

Of course, nothing concrete or confirmed, but I have a strong feeling that the appointment of the next Leicester manager will not be a lengthy process.

Looking at the odds, there is a large number of candidates,

with Garcia slightly further down the pecking order at 16/1, followed by Jose Mourinho at 16/1 and Graham Potter at 4/1. Earlier this week,

we announced a number of contenders to take on this assignment, but with the points deduction looming,

we feel a couple of those individuals would be hesitant to accept the position because the risk of relegation is as high as the sky.
