Jose Cordoba is scheduled to have his Rangers physical on Monday or Tuesday, a source said.

According to Bulgarian publication Top Sport, Rangers appeared to be in a struggle with Norwich City for the Panamanian defender, but those reports are untrue and the Levski Sofia star will receive the boot from club medics during the course of the next 48 hours. They maintain that the agreement must be finalized as soon as possible, before Cordoba departs for Spain to practice with the Panama national team ahead of Copa America.

According to Bulgarian sources, Levski plans to pay roughly £2 million for the 22-year-old as Philippe Clement expands his options in the backfield. If the player and the club satisfy specific requirements, they may also be eligible for an additional £1.2 million in add-ons. Following the permanent signings of Mohamed Diomande and Brazilian left defender Jefte, Cordoba will be the third player to arrive at Ibrox this summer.

Borna Barisic and John Lundstram appear to be leaving together. After following the Light Blues duos for a while, Trabzonspor appears to be heading for Turkey. Ryan Jack, a fellow midfielder, has an expiring contract, and Kemar Roofe has already bid farewell to Ibrox.
