Brendan Rodgers officially Leaves Celtic by mutual consent after winning Scottish League and Scottish FA cup
Cameron Carter-Vickers gave manager Brendan Rodgers credit for making sure Celtic kept the poise and confidence needed to wrap up a difficult season with two titles.
The Hoops appeared to be losing ground as the Rangers, their city rivals,
surged back halfway through the league season to momentarily pass them at the top in February.
However, Celtic recovered their rhythm in crunch time,
winning 25 points from their final nine games to clinch the league title and go to Saturday’s Scottish Cup final against Gers.
Defender Carter-Vickers stated, “There was always that belief,
and to be fair to the manager, I think that’s what he did well for us.” He maintained our faith and the group’s composure.
We’re an optimistic group, and we knew that we would succeed in the end provided we cooperated and supported one another.
We really started to take off near the end of the season,
I believe for a variety of reasons. Every time a new manager is appointed to a club,
it usually takes some time for their ideas to gel with the team and other things.
“I believe you saw the results of our earlier season work toward the end of the season.”
Carter-Vickers is hoping that next season at Celtic Park will see even more progress both domestically and in Europe,
as Rodgers gets ready for his second season in charge after rejoining the team last summer.
That’s our goal, so I hope so,” he remarked. We’re going to keep working hard, and maybe that will show.
“We always aim to get better, not only in Europe but also within the league.
” We have to appropriately prepare for the Champions League since we are aware of its high caliber.
