Derek Ferguson has suggested that Philippe Clement‘s position is not under threat following Celtic’s second Scottish Premiership title victory over Rangers.

The Hoops won their 12th title in 13 years on Saturday, May 18,

despite Clement having put his team ahead only a few weeks before.

Ferguson said that pressure is always great, but not on Clement’s position,

as he requires multiple transfer windows to build his own group at Ibrox.

“There’s always pressure when you’re affiliated with the Old Firm,” he stated.

“You need to win games. I disagree [that his employment is under pressure].

“But they’ve definitely run out of steam; the injury problems they’ve had all season have caught up with them,

and it came just as Celtic were regaining form and reintroducing one or two key players.

“For me, Philippe Clement is not under any pressure as Rangers manager.

As Rangers fans, we are naturally dissatisfied.

Celtic have won 12 titles in 13 years. It’s tough,a tough watch,tough being a Rangers supporter.

“It’s not Philippe Clement’s team; needs at least two or three transfer windows to establish his own power on that squad.

Listen, there is pressure from the Old Firm, but he will not be under pressure in the future.

Any allegations that Clement’s employment is under pressure should be dropped immediately, as the Belgian has worked wonders.
