registering 48 appearances in all competitions, scoring 19 goals and dishing out 18 assists.

The Denmark international’s contract at Parkhead expires in May 2027,

and he may participate at the European Championships this summer.

According to Wyness, O’Riley will want to stay with Celtic, and they may even give him wages he has never seen before.

“I’ve seen stories about Matt O’Riley possibly going off to Italy,

and I thought straight away that it would be coming from his agent – because the player is negotiating with the club,

” he said on Football Insider’s Insider Track podcast.

Should he depart, I would be shocked. They would like to hold onto him.

“It would be beneficial if Celtic were to pay enough to retain players in Scotland, as I believe they will today.

They want to accomplish that, and they can assemble a strong team behind him.

“I’m hoping Brendan Rodgers gets to keep him.”

“But his agent will undoubtedly be pushing for a respectable contract, that much is certain.”
