Will Still finally emerges as Sunderland Head Coach after crucial meeting with Officials-Personal terms agreed

The most recent information on Still might leave the Black Cats feeling let down.

After firing Mick Beale after just two miserable months in command on Wearside, Sunderland is still looking

for a new head coach, three months later.

The team’s lackluster 16th place finish and a record of only two victories in their past ten games under

temporary manager Mike Dodds will have disappointed the Stadium of Light supporters.

With a new manager in charge, the Black Cats will now look to the summer transfer window for success.

Will Still, the former manager of Stade de Reims, has been frequently linked to the team.

However, there has apparently been a significant setback in their search for the 31-year-old.

Sunderland unlikely to appoint Will Still as head coach

Sportswriter Michael Graham wrote on X on Friday morning, saying, “It seems increasingly unlikely that the

#SAFC will appoint Will Still.”

“Looking at other options on their list instead.”

This development may surprise the Black Cats, as Still enjoyed success in Ligue 1 with Reims, leading the team

to an 11th-place finish at the end of the 2022–2023 season, and they were in the same spot this past season

before to his departure at the beginning of May.

The Englishman has a strong win percentage throughout his career. From October to December 2017,

he managed games for Lierse in Belgium, and according to FotMob, he won 70% of those games.

After that, he managed Beerschot from January to June of 2021. During that time,

the Belgian second division team had a 40% winning record and scored 1.3 points per game on average.

In Reims, the most difficult position Still has held thus far, he was able to maintain a win percentage of 39%
