Mysterious Southampton strike pair after missing practice

Ross Stewart and Che Adams, two strikers for Southampton,

were not present in the team’s internal training film prior to Sunday’s trip to Wembley,

raising questions about their fitness levels. After failing in their attempt to buy Joel Piroe,

Sunderland offered Stewart £8 million in the summer,

but the Scottish international has been limited by a hamstring injury that has kept him out of action since November.

Che Adams, the strike partner, sustained a knock during the season’s penultimate game at Elland Road,

The saints are begging for his return. In just 2301 minutes of league play this season, the 27-year-old has 16 goals and 4 assists.

Last summer, Archie Gray turned on the chance to sign a contract with an undisclosed elite Premier League team,

choosing to commit his future to the team he is familiar with and loves.

Leeds was eager for Archie to reach his 17th birthday so they could sign him to a professional contract,

but there was a catch! Through his agent, Gray demanded that the Whites match “a certain percentage”

of the lowest offer received from another team, and the team was more than willing to comply!

He was only allowed to sign a two-year contract because of his age, but in January of this year,

two months before he turned eighteen, the pact was extended to last until 2028. Despite being so young, making the first team,

Gent center back Jordan Torunarigha is being heavily linked to Leeds in an attempt to replace Liam Cooper,

who is expected to leave Elland Road after ten years with the team.

The 26-year-old Torunarigha started his career in Hertha Berlin’s minor division before moving to Gent in 2022,

originally on loan. Over the season, he has only achieved 360 minutes of playing time.

Due to a combination of injuries and bad performance, he has fallen in Hein Vanhaezebrouck’s “Whoscored” rankings, ranking 17th.

With just one year remaining on his three-year deal, he should only cost them £2.5 million,

but Stuttgart and Hoffenheim will probably try to outbid them.

The Whites see the 6′ 3″ as a way to increase their defensive numbers.
