Jaylen Brown of the Boston Celtics was not selected to an All-NBA squad this year. Brown looked like he certainly belonged on one Thursday.

In order to grab a 2-0 lead in the Eastern Conference Finals, Brown led the Celtics to a 126-110 victory over the Indiana Pacers.

With 40 points in the game, including what felt like the game-winning three-pointer in the last two minutes, Brown had the Boston, Massachusetts crowd roaring.

Brown was questioned whether the All-NBA snub inspired him to score forty points in the game at his post-game news conference. (Warning: there is language in the video.)

I wouldn’t say that, Brown said. “I mean, the Finals are just two games away.” Sincerely, I don’t have time to care.
Brown had an effective 14/27 shooting percentage with 4 three-pointers made. In addition, he recorded 2 assists and 5 rebounds.

Brown achieved career highs in scoring (26.6), rebounds (6.9), and field goal percentage (49.1%) during the previous season, earning him a spot on the All-NBA 2nd Team.

However, Brown’s numbers have suffered this year as a result of the Celtics adding former All-Stars Kristaps Porzingis and Jrue Holiday in the offseason.

Brown, though, seems too focused on taking home the title to be concerned with inflating his personal achievements. The Celtics are now just two wins away from a trip to the NBA Finals and six games away from winning the Larry O’Brien Trophy following their victory on Thursday.
