The EFL has confirmed the Championship play-off schedule, and Norwich City hopes to be one of the teams involved.

The league has formally confirmed the dates and times for the semi-finals and final at Wembley Stadium, ahead of the season’s last eight games.

The regular Championship season begins on Saturday, May 4, with Norwich visiting Birmingham, a team that is currently struggling. All of those games will now begin sooner, at 12.30 p.m., with Sky Sports’ broadcast options to be announced later.

The play-off clash between the sixth and third teams is scheduled for Sunday, May 12 at 12:30 p.m.

The return leg is scheduled for Thursday, May 16, at 8 p.m.

The matchup of fifth and fourth will begin at 8 p.m. on Monday, May 13, and the rematch will begin at 8 p.m. on Friday, May 17.

The kickoff time for the play-off final at Wembley Stadium on Sunday, May 26 will be announced.

Although Liam Rosenior’s squad still has a match against Coventry, who are chasing the top six, Norwich is currently sixth in the Championship, with a three-point lead over their nearest rivals, Hull.

In the games remaining following the international break,

David Wagner’s team wants to secure a berth in the Championship’s top six.

Plymouth Argyle comes to Carrow Road hoping to end a six-game home winning streak.

Prior to this, Norwich experienced play-off success in 2015, defeating Middlesbrough 2-0 at Wembley Stadium to gain promotion to the Premier League under Alex Neil.

They overcame Ipswich Town over two legs in the semifinals.

Based on current standings, they will face their East Anglian rivals in the play-offs, however there will be plenty of shocks along the way.

Luton Town won the play-offs the previous season, defeating Coventry on penalties and advancing to the top tier.
