EFL confirm Championship play-off New date for final and time confirm.

The EFL has confirmed the schedule for the Championship play-offs, and Norwich City hope to be among the teams involved.

The dates and times of the semi-finals and final at Wembley Stadium have been formally confirmed by the league ahead of the last eight games of the season.

On Saturday, May 4, the regular Championship season begins when Norwich visits Birmingham,

a team that is currently having difficulties. All of those games will now begin at the earlier hour of 12.30 p.m., with Sky Sports’ broadcast choices to be revealed later.

The play-off matchup between sixth and third teams is set for Sunday, May 12, at 12:30 p.m.,

with the return leg scheduled for Thursday, May 16, at 8 p.m.

The matchup between fifth and fourth will begin at 8 p.m. on Monday, May 13, and the rematch will begin at 8 p.m. on Friday, May 17.

The kickoff time for the play-off final at Wembley Stadium on Sunday, May 26 will be determined.

Although Liam Rosenior’s team still has a match against Coventry,

who are pursuing the top six, Norwich is presently in sixth place in the Championship and has a three-point advantage over their closest rivals, Hull.

In the games that remain after the international break,

David Wagner’s team hopes to solidify their spot among the Championship’s top six.

First up is Plymouth Argyle, who come to Carrow Road looking to snap a six-game home winning streak.

Prior to this, Norwich had play-off success in 2015 when they defeated Middlesbrough 2-0 at Wembley Stadium to earn promotion to the Premier League under Alex Neil.

They defeated Ipswich Town over two legs in the semifinals;

based on current standings, they would face their East Anglian rivals in the play-offs, albeit there will be many surprises along the way.

Luton Town won the play-offs the previous season, defeating Coventry on penalties to gain promotion to the first division.
