Done deal; Celtic ANNOUNCE Thiago Silva signing on free transfer.
Only a few days after confirming his departure from Chelsea, the defender will rejoin the Brazilian team.
Silva, 39, used the hashtag “The monster is back” to reveal himself as a celtic player on social media.
Silva will join the team early and go following the season’s last game, according to Chelsea.
“Thiago has agreed to join up early with his new teammates after signing a two-year contract with the Brazilian club,” according to a statement from Chelsea.
“Thiago will be allowed to train with celtic prior to his registration transferring on July 1.”
After his contract at Stamford Bridge expires, he will join the Brazilian team on a free transfer.
The team announced on social media that “The Beast is returning! I’m so glad to be back home after all these years!
“The myth that fans consecrated.”
He is not the only well-known player on the Fluminenese team.
After being acquired by Chelsea under Thomas Tuchel, Silva won the Champions League in 2021 after being signed by former manager Frank Lampard.
Although Mauricio Pochettino is the current head coach and a fan favorite, his vocal wife Isabelle has been critical of the squad and tactics in recent months.
“There weren’t any fans in the stadium when I started here, it was during the pandemic,” he remarked.
