£102m DEAL: Liverpool ‘willing to offer’ £102m for Salah replacement with ‘all indications’ pointing to summer sale.

The winger has reportedly been “contacted” by PSG, and Premier League powerhouse Liverpool would “offer” £102 million for a dependable Mohamed Salah successor.

Salah was strongly connected to leaving Liverpool during the summer transfer window of the previous year. Al-Ittihad, a Saudi Pro League team, attempted to acquire the Egypt international for £150 million, but their approach was unsuccessful.

The 31-year-old Salah, who has a contract with Liverpool through 2025, was anticipated to receive proposals from other teams in the summer or in January, but none did.

Salah was in excellent form during the first half of this season, which helped Liverpool position themselves to contend for four titles.

But Salah struggled after returning to full fitness following his hamstring injury and he infamously clashed with Jurgen Klopp on the touchline after he did not start against West Ham on April 27.

This altercation fuelled speculation linking Salah with a move away from Liverpool and it was reported earlier this month that the club were preparing to have ‘crunch talks’ with the attacker regarding his future. 

Salah to ‘pack his bags’

Salah has reportedly been “contacted” by PSG and many Saudi Pro League teams in front of the summer, and “all indications are that he will pack his bags,” according to sources from Spain.

Real Madrid star Rodrigo has “appeared” as a possible replacement for the injured player, forcing Liverpool to search the market for one.

Prior to joining Real Madrid in 2019, the 23-year-old was connected to Liverpool; yet, throughout the previous five seasons, he has made over 200 appearances for the Spanish powerhouse.

With 17 goals in 49 games this season, Rodygo has excelled in the Champions League. However, it has been speculated that the arrival of Kylian Mbappe in the summer may force the Brazil international to move.

Rodrygo “has become the priority target for Liverpool to compensate for the loss of Salah,” according to the Spanish publication, and Real Madrid does not view him as “untouchable.”

‘Liverpool have a very high budget and are willing to pay 120 million euros (£102m) for Rodrygo, a very important offer. Madrid could get considerable income for a player who has not yet met the requirements, and they could add another galactic singing to cover his loss.

‘So it cannot be ruled out that Florentino Pérez ends up opening the doors.’
