Leeds United ‘worst-case scenario’ shared as Daniel Farke sack mooted at Elland Road

Even in the unlikely event that Leeds United are not able to win Premier League promotion through the play-

offs this season, Paul Robinson thinks Daniel Farke‘s position at Elland Road is secure.
Farke’s team lost against Southampton on the last day of the season, meaning Leeds missed out on automaticpromotion as Leicester City and Ipswich Town ended in the top two Championship slots.

After a scoreless draw at Carrow Road, the Whites will take on Norwich City in their play-off semi-final second

leg on Thursday, May 16. The tie seemed evenly balanced going into the match at Elland Road.

Robinson is certain that the German’s position is secure no matter what happens this season, telling exclusively

to MOT Leeds News: “He’s proven enough this season that he’s the man who would potentially take Leeds back

up to the Premier League.” All of us are hope he succeeds in doing that.

“He’s demonstrated enough this season, worst case. He must also be given credit for the preseason. Some

athletes, including Wilfried Gnonto, declined to practice and play because they didn’t want to be at the club.

“He’s turned things around and returned to the player he was last season, with his form to where you would

expect it to be at this point in the season. That’s mostly due to his man-management.

“A large number of people signed. In January, Connor Roberts was a fantastic addition, while Gruev, Joe

Rodon, and Ampadu were all added. The manager is familiar with the league and knows how to avoid it.

They’ve gone quite close, if they are not successful this season. I fail to understand why a modification would be

demanded.

Is Daniel Farke going to be around if Leeds United doesn’t get promoted?

Robinson claims that Farke is intimately familiar with every aspect of the Championship. Whether it’s this

season or the next, his time spent with the Canaries will give him the advantage to leave the division.

Leeds has been playing some wonderful football this year, so it will be devastating at Elland Road to finish with

90 points and not automatically qualify for promotion.

The team needs to be able to accept it and get back to their prior performance from earlier in the season.

It is very impressive that Leeds didn’t lose at home until April as their first loss.

In order to advance to the Premier League before the 2024–2025 season, Leeds will need to defeat

Southampton or West Brom in the championship game after defeating Norwich in the round of 32.
