Eddie Howe and Ange Postecoglou will face off for the final time after travelling to Australia for an end-of-season friendly.

Postecoglou has already stated that he is grateful to his Newcastle counterpart for providing him the opportunity to lead the Hoops

to five championships, including a world record eighth domestic treble. However, ex-Bournemouth manager Howe stated the

n  sliding doors incident has strangely never been addressed between the two managers, who had one win apiece against each other.

Prior to Wednesday night’s friendly in Australia, Howe told News Corp Australia, “We’ve never discussed that.” It’s usually that way when you’re a manager seeking for your next opportunity.

“I’ve been in situations when you believe you’re going to miss out on a job, but then you receive an unexpected opportunity. It has the potential to significantly alter both your personal and professional life. That has absolutely happened to me here in Newcastle.”
