Celtic fans marching to Hampden for Rangers cup final urged to wear ‘the hoops’

In anticipation of the Scottish Cup Final between Celtic and Rangers,

supporters of the team are being asked to don “the hoops” and march to Hampden with the Green Brigade.

This Saturday, May 25, at Hampden Park, Celtic will play The Gers in the season’s last football game.

After beating Rangers to win the Premiership,

the Hoops will be looking to inflict further suffering on their rivals.

They have been celebrating their victory over Kilmarnock last

Wednesday and plan to make the most of their time together.

The Green Brigade has extended an invitation to other supporters

to meet in Glasgow Green on Saturday, following which they will begin

a procession towards the national stadium. Along with Bhoys Celtic, another extreme,

It seems that the intention is still to gather thousands of people

at the Saltmarket for what was dubbed ‘Tims in the Park’

and then march towards the national stadium two hours before kickoff.

In a promotional film, the Green Brigade is calling on supporters to

“Wear the Hoops to Hampden” in preparation for “Tims in the Park 2.”

It will occur just one week after supporters flocked to Trongate

for a celebration in the heart of the city, complete with flares and pyrotechnics,

on the day their team was given the Premiership trophy.
