Wolves is expected to defeat Everton and Leeds to acquire Che Adams on a free transfer.

Despite interest from Everton and Leeds United,

Southampton striker Che Adams has reportedly decided to

sign with Wolverhampton Wanderers in the Premier League.

Wolves defeated the battle to sign the 27-year-old,

who is scheduled to depart St Mary’s Stadium this summer on a free transfer after his contract expires.

The Scotsman was reportedly being pursued by Leeds United,

a Championship team and Southampton’s opponents in the play-off final.

However, TEAMtalk reports that the striker has agreed to transfer to Molineux.

Che Adams expected to join Premier League

Adams and Wolves have reached an agreement,

and Adams is expected to join Wolves, as reported by TeamTalk.

Adams was reportedly a major target on Wolves manager Gary O’Neil’s player search in the Bosman market,

according to the report. Adams will be able to do that after a

strong season down on the South Coast, which has seen

Wolves eager to bolster their squad after successfully avoiding relegation.

before most of his family and friends are based in the Midlands

and this alleged agreed move will facilitate a reunion,

he may have been favoring a move to Wolves ever before their interest

was made public earlier this week. Che Adams’s impressive Southampton season

Adams has had an outstanding season for Southampton, helping the team

not only reach the play-off final but also secure a spot in the Wembley final against Leeds United.

After a decline in division, Adams has blossomed this season

after struggling to score goals in his first few seasons with the Saints.

His greatest goal total in his first four years at St Mary’s was five league goals;

but, this season, he surpassed that total with a far superior 16 goals in the Championship and 18 goals in all competitions.

After a few years of probably low confidence, he has found his spark again and is back among the goals.

His form this year is possibly reminiscent of the form that brought

him to Southampton when he scored 22 goals for Birmingham City back in 2018/19.

Relocating to Wolves might let Leeds and Everton down.

Staff and supporters of Leeds and Everton are probably not too delighted

after hearing that Adams has reportedly agreed to move to Wolves.

This season, both teams have had difficulty finding a reliable scorer in their lineups,

and Adams would have provided one if he had decided not to sign

with Wolves and instead to join the Whites or the Toffees.

Only if Leeds defeat Southampton in the play-offs would he be able

to further annoy both teams and remind them of what might have been had they been able to sign him.

Adams will be happy that he is finally returning to the Midlands,

but for the time being, he is only thinking on making sure

he offers Southampton supporters a memorable farewell by getting them back to the Premier League.
