The champions of the Premier League are expressing genuine interest.
According to a recent transfer update, Manchester City is demonstrating serious interest in a different

Everton player in addition to their connection to Jarrad Branthwaite this summer.

Man City eyeing Branthwaite move

On Sunday afternoon, Pep Guardiola’s club created football history by becoming the first team in

English history to win four Premier League titles in a row. But City never rests on its laurels,

and they’ll be looking at possible additions for the upcoming campaign to bolster their roster even further.

They may choose to focus on new players at center-back, where Branthwaite has surfaced as a possible target.

It is said that Guardiola’s team is trying to sign the young Englishman before Manchester United does,

in a move that would be especially satisfying if they could outbid them for his services.

Branthwaite has been one of Everton’s stars this season, having a fantastic season.

But the Everton star is by no means City’s lone summer target;

it appears that they are also keeping an eye on another Toffees player.

A recent report from Football Insider claims that Manchester City is genuinely interested in

Everton goalkeeper Douglas Lukjanciks for the next summer.

Despite his lack of experience, a £10 million move has been suggested, underscoring his potential.

The Merseysiders believe he “has the potential to be a future number one and a successor” to Jordan Pickford.

No bid has been submitted as of yet.

Chelsea is also interested in the 16-year-old talent, indicating that people in the industry think he has a very bright future.

Naturally, Lukjanciks wouldn’t join City’s first squad right away the next season,

but he might be a very wise addition in the long run and to guarantee that there is a core of English quality.

The goalie may be easier to sign for the Cityzens because he cannot sign his first professional

deal until later this year when he becomes 17 years old.

The allure of joining a dominant club with an abundance of talent in their junior ranks can perhaps be too much to resist.

Despite only being 16 years old, the youth has already earned two caps apiece for England’s Under-16 and

Under-17 teams and made six appearances in the Under-18s Premier League.

Since Stefan Ortega is also 31 years old, the important Ederson will eventually need to be replaced.

If Lukjanciks enters the picture and shows promise for a few years at the youth team level,

he may eventually be promoted to the senior setup.
