The boss is back!
Around 45,000 people will gather at the Stadium of Light on Wednesday, May 22, to see Bruce Springsteen and his E Street Band.
It’s The Boss’ first appearance in the North East since 2012, when he headlined the Black Cats’ home game.
Here’s what you need to know before the show.
Tickets
Hospitality and accessible seats are all sold out, but there are still general sale tickets available at AXS.com and Ticketmaster.co.uk.
Tickets are priced between £70 and £145.
Timings
The stadium is slated to open about 4 p.m., with Bruce taking the stage around 7 p.m.
There will be no support act, and the show is projected to last approximately three hours and fifteen minutes.
Merchandise
Prices for official tour products online begin at £20 for setlist trading cards, £40 to £45 for t-shirts,
and £45 for limited edition posters. Prices are expected to be comparable at the merch stalls on-site on Wednesday.
Weather
The weather forecast for Wednesday in Sunderland is 14 degrees and gloomy, with a risk of rain.
Small telescopic umbrellas are permitted in the stadium;
however, huge umbrellas are banned.

There are numerous clubs and restaurants in the city presenting Bruce Springsteen-themed events where you may prepare for the show.
They include a pre-gig party at Diego’s in Sunniside, pre-gig food and music at The Peacock beginning at 1pm,
Juice Springsteen pale ale at Keel Tavern, pre-show lunches at Asiana, DB/CB, Saba Maison du Luxe, and much more.
Food and drink at the gig.
A variety of food and beverages will be available for purchase both in the courtyard and inside the stadium.
Concert-goers are not permitted to bring their own food or beverages into the stadium.
Challenge 25 protocols will be in place.
To purchase alcohol, you must bring proof of ID that shows you are over the age of 18.
Parking
There is no public parking at the Stadium of Light or on surrounding residential streets.
People wishing to travel to the concert by car are urged to use the city centre car parks found at the following link: www.sunderland.gov.uk/parking.
Pre-bookable parking is also available at the Riverside Sunderland Multi Story Car Park on Farringdon Row for a flat charge of £7 per 24 hours.
Book through Sunderland City Council’s Parking Portal (sunderlandparking.co.uk), then select the Event Parking tab.
This car park will not be available for pay-by-the-day parking.
The Stadium of Light has limited accessible parking that can be reserved in advance by contacting them.

as thousands of concertgoers are expected to converge on the city.
