Aston villa’s ‘incredible’ Viljami Sinisalo finally to join Celtic on free transfer this summer

Viljami Sinisalo, a goalkeeper for Aston Villa and Finland who has a year remaining on his deal with the

Premier League team following his loan to Exeter City, is a target for Celtic,

but they will have to compete with a number of English teams to sign the 22-year-old. (The Scottish Sun)

Viljami Sinisalo is the most recent name to be associated with the position of Celtic No. 1 for the upcoming season,

following Joe Hart.

As Brendan Rodgers steps up his search to bolster his goalkeeping ranks,

the Aston Villa goalie, who has played with Exeter City in English League One this season, is said to have pleased him.

This summer, the Hoops will give top focus to this position because backups Scott Bain and Benjamin Siegrist are still on the roster.

As he approaches the last year of his current contracts,

Villa Park has been interested in the 22-year-old’s services for a number of years.

Due to Parkhead’s interest, Unai Emery and his Champions League aspirants,

the Sun state, will have to contend with a fight to keep Sinisalo on board.

After an impressive season-long loan under former Hoops defender Gary Caldwell,

who was his manager during his stint with Exeter City in England’s third tier,

with 50 appearances in all competitions under his belt,

it’s thought that the £3 million-rated Sinisalo also has a number of English Championship clubs keen on his services.
