NOTTINGHAM FOREST HAVE APPOINTED FRANK LAMPARD AS THEIR NEW HEAD COACH, AFTER SACKING NUNO ESPIRITO SANTO
The Nottingham Forest board fired Steve Cooper following six games without a victory.
Nuno Espirito Santo, a former manager of Wolves and Tottenham who most recently oversaw Al-Ittihad in Saudi Arabia,
has been appointed. On Saturday, December 23,
their Premier League home matchup against Bournemouth will mark his first game in command.
In the Premier League right now, Forest is ranked 17th.
After firing Steve Cooper, Nottingham Forest has named Nuno Espirito Santo as their new head coach.
The manager of Wolves and Tottenham in the past has reached an agreement to stay at The City Ground for two and a half years.
The Portuguese coach was fired after a dismal run of results when most recently managing Al Ittihad in Saudi Arabia.
On December 23, when they play Bournemouth at home in the league,
Nuno will make his debut behind the bench.
Forest is five points above the relegation zone in the Premier League right now, in 17th place.
Cooper was fired after the team had lost five of his last six games.
Cooper had won promotion in 2022, ending the team’s 23-year exile from the top division.
