Abdallah Sima might never start a game for the Rangers again following the remarks made by

Philippe Clement recently concerning him.

The Senegal international has struggled with injuries in 2024. He went to Ibrox on loan from Brighton in the summer.

He missed three weeks of action at the beginning of the year and is currently recuperating from another setback.

Abdallah Sima may play few minutes for Rangers v Hearts

Philippe Clement provided an update on Sima prior to the Hearts match, stating: “Sima will be back in selection to play some minutes, very little as his first step back.”

Given that the Hearts match on May 18 is the second-to-last game of the season and that a cup final against Celtic follows,

it is highly doubtful that the 22-year-old will be playing at full strength.

Given that Clement has previously expressed his intention to play “very little,

” it is likely that he will do the same with the Old Firm.

If all he can do is play for thirty or forty minutes, it would be absurd to start him,

and he would much rather be taken off as an impact player.

Rangers still to make official announcement about Abdallah Sima

Whether Brighton would like to give the Senegal international a deeper look during

the summer or if he will join on a permanent basis has not yet been decided.

With just two games remaining in the season, he has no guarantee that he will start a game for

the Glasgow team again if he decides not to return to Ibrox.

He will be much missed after being a spectacular summer signing for them,

scoring 15 goals and dishing out two assists in all competitions.
