David Moyes eager to win final West Ham game for fans not as Declan Rice favour

If David Moyes wants to end his time at West Ham with a win, it’s not because he wants to repay former captain Declan Rice.

If the Hammers can shock the world in Moyes’ final game as the club’s manager on Sunday against Manchester City,

they could tip the title race in favor of Rice’s current team, Arsenal.

As the final round of Premier League games approaches, City leads the league by two points above Arsenal, who play host to Everton.

Despite the fact that his team is already guaranteed a ninth-place result,

Moyes wants them to participate fully in the day’s events and maintains that they have individual goals.

At a news conference, the leaving Scot said to reporters,

“Our entire attention is on ourselves. We are playing for West Ham and want to win the game for our supporters,

not to force Manchester City to lose or Arsenal to win the Premier League.

“When Manchester City knows they need to win a game to win the championship,

it’s hard to beat them at any time.” Because of what Manchester City is capable of,

Moyes is departing West Ham after a second stint of four and a half years;

The 61-year-old said he has received a number of proposals but has not yet decided what to do.
