Sunderland Set To Lose Key Man This Summer Amid European Interest

The Black Cats may struggle to retain certain important first-team players this summer,

notably Jobe Bellingham, because to interest from the Premier League and European clubs, according to reports.

The Black Cats had a disappointing campaign and failed to build on previous season’s encouraging performance in the play-offs.

just seven points above the relegation zone and 16 behind the play-offs.

This will undoubtedly be an important summer window for the club,

as the board is now looking for a new man to take over in the dugout at the Stadium of Light, but may be forced to sell a number of key players.

Jack Clarke has been linked with a transfer away from the Wearside outfit.

The winger was Sunderland’s leading goalscorer this season, with 15 goals and four assists in 42 games.

The former Leeds United player has reportedly piqued the curiosity of top-tier clubs.

Another player rumoured to be leaving the Black Cats in the coming months is Jobe Bellingham.

According to Football Insider, Borussia Dortmund, the Champions League finalists, are interested in signing the teenager this summer.

Jude, Bellingham’s brother, moved from Birmingham City to the Westfalenstadion in 2020 and has since been the Santiago Bernabeu’s top scorer.

Furthermore, he is currently on the verge of winning the Champions League if Real Madrid defeats his previous squad in a few weeks.

Perhaps Jobe wants to follow in his older sibling’s footsteps.
