Wilfred Onyinye Ndidi, a midfielder for the Super Eagles, is relishing his team’s return to the English Premier League (EPL) following a challenging season in the Championship.

The Championship championship was won by the former English football league and FA Cup champions after they battled through 46 games in the lower tier.

Speaking to Sporting Tribune from Abuja, Ndidi stated that the team had to come together as a cohesive unit to ensure that the club returned to the English premier league since they were aware of the consequences of their relegation from the previous football season.

“It feels great to be back in the Premier League.” To be really honest with you, though, the team deserves praise even if the championship was extremely challenging. We remain unified. Together, we battled and now we’re back. It’s incredible.

“We are aware of how we felt when we were genuinely demoted and experiencing low spirits last year. Undoubtedly, we would prefer not to struggle our way back to the Premier League.

I believe that although there are great expectations and a high moral standard right now, we have all lived up to them by doing our best and continuing to do what we know how to do.

“I just try to stay focused and whatever comes is fine. If Leicester want me to stay which is important, it is really very good but I still want to wait,” he said.
