Napoli makes transfer moves for Atletico Madrid-owned striker Omorodion

Scouts from Napoli visited Samu Omorodion, a striker for Deportivo Alaves, but obtaining him from Atletico Madrid is going to be difficult.

Victor Osimhen, who is rumored to depart at the end of the season for a fee well over €110 million, is being replaced by a new player, according to the Partenopei.

Omorodion, who has nine goals in 33 La Liga games this season, was observed by Napoli, according to Gianluca Di Marzio, a transfer specialist for Sky Sport Italia.

He is worth at least €40 million and is currently on loan from Atletico Madrid.

Although the striker has stated time and time again that he sees himself with Atleti next season, it is unclear whether he will accept a deal that Napoli attempts to broker.

He was signed by Alaves on loan in the summer of 2023 after being acquired from Granada for a mere €6 million.

He turned 20 earlier this month, holds dual citizenship from Spain and Nigeria, and has been linked to Roma and a number of Premier League teams.
