Wilfred Ndidi, a Super Eagles midfielder, has hinted that he may quit Leicester City this summer following their promotion to the Premier League.

The 27-year-old was pivotal in Leicester’s victorious EFL Championship campaign, which secured them return to the Premier League.

Ndidi’s contract expires in June, and he has hinted that he is open to possibilities away from the King Power Stadium next season.

Leicester City manager Enzo Maresca has announced that contract negotiations will be postponed until the conclusion of the season,

making Ndidi’s future unknown.

Several high-profile teams, including Barcelona, Fenerbahçe, Galatasaray, Sevilla, Tottenham Hotspur, Newcastle, West Ham and Aston Villa, have expressed interest in signing Ndidi on a free transfer.

While the Foxes are desperate to keep the Nigerian midfielder, no formal negotiations have begun.

Ndidi has voiced a desire to join a top-six Premier League team, but he is also exploring a move away from England.

Ndidi is considering leaving Leicester City, but for the time being, he is still loyal to them. “If a good opportunity arises, I wouldn’t mind trying my luck elsewhere, but for the time being, I will remain a Leicester City player,” Ndidi said, as quoted by Complete Sports.

Reflecting on Leicester’s recent elevation, Ndidi underlined his intention to avoid relegation.

“It’s fantastic to be back in the Premier League following relegation. We do not want to go through the struggle of returning to the EPL again. Morale is strong, expectations are high, and we must avoid returning to the championship. “It’s a tough place to play,” he said.
