CONFIRMED- Sol Sidibe confirms transfer to Rangers amidst Milan talks

Hat’s after a Daily Mail story stated that many elite teams are reportedly already showing interest in the 17-year-old.

Sidibe is the son of former Stoke striker Mamady Sidibe, who played for the Potters from 2005 to 2013 and made 186 appearances in all competitions.

When the younger Sidibe made his debut in the Carabao Cup earlier this season, he was the Championship club’s third-youngest player ever, having come via the youth systems.

The midfield player appeared in eight first-team games for Stoke this season in all competitions, and it appears that other teams are taking notice of his growth.

This most recent update suggests that Chelsea is keeping a watch on Sidibe, who has drawn attention with his Potters outings.

The Premier League team isn’t the only one interested in a possible trade for the youthful midfield player, though.

It’s also said that Scottish powerhouse Rangers and Serie A team AC Milan are two of the teams monitoring the teenager’s progress at Stoke.

Sidibe has also received caps for England at the Under 17 level this season. However, he is also qualified to play for Mali, Senegal, and France, which is rumored to have attracted European teams’ attention.

As things stand, the midfielder’s Stoke contract has little over a year left on it. With Sidibe having signed to a professional deal with the club, which became active when he turned 17 earlier this year, his future with the club is guaranteed until the end of the 2024–2025 season.

Stoke ultimately finished this season 17th in the league, six points clear of the relegation zone, having spent the most of the campaign fighting to prevent relegation from the Championship.

As a result, they are currently getting ready for another season in the English football second division, which Steven Schumacher will be managing.

It is difficult to avoid having the impression that people associated with the Potters will be concerned by these claims of interest in Sidibe from other sources.

Given his familial ties to the team, he is sure to be well-liked there, and his on-field development might make him a valuable asset in his own right.

However, if he were to depart the team soon, Stoke would not be able to fully benefit from that.
