Chelsea is reportedly Mulling a move for Brighton Defender

Brighton and Hove Albion Lewis Dunk’s availability has been enquired about by Chelsea FC of the English Premier League.

According to The Times, Frank Lampard has highlighted Dunk as one of the several defenders

that can meet the team’s needs in order to bolster his defense in the January transfer window.

Chelsea is rumored to have £150 million to spend in January,

but they haven’t made a deal since their transfer ban was removed.

Brighton is reportedly willing to sell the England international and won’t stop him from moving to London,

but the player’s age is reportedly a concern for Chelsea given their asking price of £50 million.

With 20 league games played for Brighton this season, the 28-year-old has contributed three assists and two goals.

Frank Lampard stated last month that he wasn’t happy with Chelsea’s goal scoring pace, which means the team is looking to add a defender.

Although David Alaba, a defender for Bayern Munich, has already been connected to the team,

the Bundesliga powerhouses have refused to allow him leave in January, so a summer transfer is a possibility.
