By winning their 54th league championship, CELTIC has gotten closer to the Rangers’ record haul of titles.

Three Scottish Premiership titles in a row for the Parkhead team after a 5-0 thumping of Derek McIness’ Kilmarnock

was manager Brendan Rodgers’ first since returning to the team last summer.

Though it was not always that simple along the road as Philippe Clement’s Gers made it the most intriguing

Scottish title contest in almost a decade, the league campaign was won with a spectacular finish.

After the winter break, the men from Ibrox were leading the league,

giving the impression that they had the upper hand in the Old Firm trophy fight.

But in the end, the winners emerged, taking home their 12th premier league title.

Tuesday night in Govan, the Light Blues came dangerously close to securing the title for their old rivals when

Dundee unexpectedly seized a two-goal lead before winning 5-2.

This meant that, in front of the traveling Hoops supporters, Matt O’Riley, Kyogo,

and company could celebrate their accomplishment with a win at Rugby Park.

And if that wasn’t enough, the players went back to Celtic Park to be welcomed by their devoted fans.

A few players were eager to continue the festivities by going out on the town and visiting Wunderbar,

one of Glasgow’s most well-liked hangouts.

Here, defender Cameron Carter-Vickers cruelly made fun of the Gers, telling the bar’s patrons, “Unlucky Rangers.” Triplets in a row!”

This alludes to a video that dates back to 2006 that shows former winger Aiden McGeady making fun of

the team’s rivals while Celtic was winning their third straight championship in 2008.

The American international is then seen leading the shout “champions again” in a video that has been made public.
