As the team gets ready for the second leg of their play-off semi-final, TEAMtalk has reported that.

Despite missing out on direct promotion to the Premier League due to their third-place finish in the Championship, the Whites still have a chance to advance through the play-offs.

On Thursday night, Leeds plays Norwich at Elland Road with the chance to go to the Wembley final. Following their first encounter on Sunday at Carrow Road, the score is tied at zero.

Although Summerville has been linked to clubs including Chelsea, Liverpool, Newcastle United, and Aston Villa, TEAMtalk reports that he will not attempt to force Leeds into a move this summer.

Summerville chose to stay at Elland Road after being demoted alongside Leeds in the previous season, and it has turned out to be a wise move for the team as well as the individual.

This season, Summerville has been a standout in the division, putting on some incredible performances in addition to scoring 19 goals and dishing out nine assists.

Summerville’s excellent season earned him the title of EFL Championship player of the year, defeating opposition from Sammie Szmodics of Blackburn Rovers and Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall of Leicester City.

Summerville said to the EFL, following his award triumph, “I’m on another level than before.”

“The manager has a significant impact, and I’m pleased with the way he handles the players. Despite our youthful group, the season has started off well thus far.

“I’m glad I can support the squad with my assists and goals. When we lost, I felt I would stay at Leeds and help the team return to their rightful place.

“The Championship is very difficult and it’s very tough but I am enjoying it because I like games.”
