Kenny Miller has faced significant criticism for his reaction to John Lundstram’s red card in the recent Glasgow Derby, where Celtic triumphed 2-1 over Rangers.

Even though Miller acknowledged that Lundstram’s ejection was appropriate in accordance with the rules of the game,

he consistently disputed the ruling in a variety of media outlets, including live appearances on Sky Sports and BBC Radio Scotland as well as in his Daily Record column.

There was a significant risk of harm during Lundstram’s challenge on Celtic’s Alistair Johnston because of his high studs and lack of control.

Miller’s position was criticized by referee pundit Conroy, who expressed shock at the attempts to justify the indefensible. In Behind the Whistles, he said,

Conroy also praised the referee, Willie Collum, for his handling of the incident, pointing out that after analyzing it several times,

Collum came to the correct decision. “Well, I can certainly say I’m not in Kenny Miller’s camp for those comments,” he said on Behind the Whistles.

“I can see why, as a former athlete, you might believe that you could stand up for a teammate.

That is not justifiable. That is completely unjustifiable. Every single day of the week, that is a red card.

“He’s arrived quickly and with great gusto. He is jeopardizing the opponent’s security.

“That meets every requirement for a red card.

“That is unacceptable on all days of the week. And let me add one thing. It was quite appropriate for Steven McLean to intervene and inform Willie that he was being sent off.

Following the involvement of VAR, the appropriate decision was made.

Kenny Miller is the only person on the earth who does not believe that the tackle should have received a red card, as Sutton stated at the Player of the Year awards on Sunday.
