According to BBC Sport, GDA Luma Capital has extended a £150 million loan to Everton to help finish building

the Bramley Moore Dock stadium.

The broadcaster said on Wednesday, May 15, that a proposal to “provide stability” had been made by a private

equity business that specializes in “distressed debt.”

Additionally, it has been mentioned that although this loan is subject to due diligence, there would be no talk of

a full takeover of the club or shareholding involved.

Financial assistance is required because the stadium’s expenses have increased from £500 million to £800

million since construction began.

Everton wants assistance building the Bramley Moore Dock stadium.

Everton’s financial worries have been ongoing for the past few years, and this season they started to show on the field.

Despite being docked eight points overall, Sean Dyche’s team managed to survive in the Premier League with

plenty of time remaining.

After years of upheaval, Farhad Moshiri has been eager to sell the team to a buyer who can provide some

financial stability.

Since 777 Partners seemed to be stepping in after some initial investment, it seemed like they were the Toffees’

preferred choice.

Following several problems with Everton’s late payments and subsequently Standard Liege’s players’ and staff’s,

Moshiri withdrew from negotiations.

The club plans to cut off the Miami-based group, but obligations still need to be paid and additional funding is

required.

It looks like GDA Luma Capital will assist with funding the construction of the new stadium before it opens in

approximately a year.
