The goalkeeper enjoyed successful stints at Parkhead previously – and Neil Lennon reckons the Tottenham fringe man could be back.

Neil Lennon believes that Fraser Forster’s comeback would be a “interesting” option for Celtic this summer.

The goalkeeper’s contract at Tottenham expires at the end of the English Premier League season,

but he is now training with Ange Postecoglou.

Ge first joined Glasgow on a loan from Newcastle United in 2010 and remained there temporarily until the conclusion of the 2011–12 season before moving on permanently.

While he was still a Southampton player, Lennon brought him back to Glasgow’s east end for a second stint for the 2019–20 season.

Lennon had been expected to leave St. Mary’s permanently back in 2020, but he declined the offer.

As a result, Vasilis Barkas, a backup goalkeeper, was brought in as the starting goalie during the failed attempt to win the championship ten times in a row.

Celtic is now searching for a goalkeeper as Joe Hart is expected to retire at the end of the current campaign.

Lennon acknowledges that Brendan Rodgers may need to make a choice on this position.”It’s interesting for Celtic,

” he stated in an interview with PLZ. If Matt O’Riley didn’t have suitors in the summer,

I would be shocked. Thus, Joe (Hart) is going away. Matt is heading out.

Celtic has to put in some work because those two players have been the most reliable so far this season.

“They require an extremely high ranking. That’s where your best teams come from.

From my personal experience working with Fraser Forster, I can attest to its value.”

The 36-year-old Forster will be available in the summer,

according to host Peter Martin. Lennon stated: “It’s possible.

It would be interesting, but I’m not sure if he would return a third time.”
