But after some time, Murray miraculously recovered and is still competing at the greatest level. The Glasgow-born athlete missed many months of activity in March due to an ankle injury that he sustained again.

This injury gave rise to speculation over the two-time Olympic gold medallist’s future. The three-time Grand Slam champion will now play again in the French city of Bordeaux in an ATP Challengers event.

According to the official draw made on Monday, Murray will face the qualifier in the opening round of the competition. Interestingly, the tournament also features the likes of Switzerland’s Stan Wawrinka and France’s Arthur Fils.
It was also reported earlier that Murray will also participate in the ATP 250 event in Geneva in order to prepare for the French Open.
The former world number one is also expected to take part in the double category with Dan Evans during the Roland Garros.
