In a recent YouTube video, writer Sercan Dikme said that Aston Villa are looking to sign Besiktas attacker Ernest Muci this summer.

It has been suggested that the Villans are ready to finalise a deal to sign the Albanian prodigy.

Muci’s impressive form in Turkish football.

Muci is having a good season with the Turkish club, having delivered a number of spectacular performances deep within the opponent’s half.

The Albania international has 13 goals and two assists in 48 games for Besiktas this season, in all competitions.

The 23-year-old has caught the eye in the final third by averaging 3.2 shots, 1.2 critical passes, and 1.5 dribbles per game in the Turkish Super League.

He has even distributed the ball relatively well after making 85% of his attempted passes in the top tier of Turkish football (stats via whoscored).

His current deal with Besiktas expires in the summer of 2027,

making it impossible for the Villans to obtain his services on the cheap during the forthcoming transfer window.

Is Muci a Good Choice for Aston Villa?

Muci is a skilled dribbler who can make a few dangerous runs in the opponent’s half.

He possesses the vision to generate a few attractive opportunities for his teammates in the final third and can strike the ball with venom from a long distance.

This season, the Albanian sensation has contributed significantly to Besiktas by scoring a few key goals.

However, he is still inexperienced at the highest level and would require time to settle  life in the Premier League

if the Villans manage to get him on board in the summer.

We may anticipate Muci to bolster Aston Villa manager Unai Emery’s attacking line.

He has the ability to compete for a regular first-team berth at the West Midlands club in the coming seasons.

At 23, Muci has his best years ahead of him,

making him a viable option for the Villans to explore during the summer transfer window.

However, if Emery is successful in bringing him on board later this year,

he may struggle to adjust to the physicality and intensity of English football.
