Significant update regarding Sunderland manager candidate as Sheffield Wednesday clause is revealed

Danny Rohl, Sheffield Wednesday’s manager, has been extensively linked with the Sunderland post in recent weeks.

Sunderland would reportedly have to pay a substantial compensation fee to hire Sheffield Wednesday manager Danny Rohl as their new head coach.

The 35-year-old German has been heavily linked with the Black Cats in recent weeks,

with Championship rivals Hull also reportedly interested.

Rohl is thought to have had cordial talks with Wednesday about his future at Hillsborough,
