Newcastle and Tottenham are interested in the 18-year-old Chelsea talent

Josh Acheampong from Chelsea is reportedly a target for Tottenham Hotspur and Newcastle United to sign this summer.

As per the Independent’s Miguel Delaney newsletter, Spurs and Newcastle are monitoring the 18-year-old defender and may consider making a move for him come summertime.

Due to their current financial difficulties, Chelsea may have to sell players in order to meet Premier League profit and sustainability requirements.

When the season comes to an end, it will be interesting to see if they choose to sell the 18-year-old defender.

Acheampong would be a long-term investment for Tottenham, who could use more depth at the back.

He has the potential to become a valuable member of the North London team’s first squad with the correct coaching.

The young defender may find it exciting to join a major team like Tottenham, particularly if they can guarantee him playing time.

The 18-year-old defender is one of the best in England and has a bright future. A top-tier prospect will be in the hands of whoever decides to sign him.
