Kenny Miller was outraged after Willie Collum sent off John Lundstram against Celtic this afternoon.

The former Rangers striker couldn’t believe the referee changed his mind after a VAR review of the midfielder’s challenge on Alistair Johnstone.

The ex-Sheffield United player charged into the challenge, where he appeared to be second favourite,

and replays revealed he grabbed nothing of the ball as he attacked the right-back with excessive force, endangering an opponent’s safety.

TV footage confirmed that the 30-year-old caught the Canadian well above the ankle,

with his studs visible, and Collum raised his yellow card to a red after consulting the pitchside monitor at Celtic Park.

The broad consensus is that the officials made the right decision.

Miller, on the other hand, was not having any of it, and went on a rampage over the incident live on air.

“He’s going to win the ball, Johnston plants his leg, and he catches him,”

Miller said during commentary. “Every tackle like that cannot result in a red card.

“In actual time, that’s never a red card. Never got a red card. “Now, look at the still.”

After the verdict was announced, he resumed his rant: “You know what, the way the game is now going,

that is not a red card. That cannot possibly be a red card.

“Every kick cannot be a red card. Alistair Johnston places his foot in the way of where John Lundstram is going.”

Lundstram had a horrible first half, including a goal against Jack Butland.

Moments after Matt O’Riley put the hosts ahead in the do-or-die Premiership clash, the midfielder was unlucky to send the ball into his own net.

Cyriel Dessers eventually scored his Old Firm goal shortly after, but despite Rangers’ resurgence, Lundstram’s tackle put the visitors in a difficult position.
